Are you ready to take the family out for some spooky fun? Halloween is nearly upon us and that means trick-or-treating, haunted houses, fireworks and more. Let’s take a look at some of the family-friendly Halloween events going on around the city on Friday, October 31st.
HALLOWEEN SPOOKTACULAR DESCENDS ON THE QUADRA VILLAGE
Are you ready to face the haunting that is descending upon the Quadra Village area on Halloween? The Quadra Village Community Centre and the Superheroes of Victoria present the Halloween Spooktacular, featuring a haunted house, carnival games, spooky movies, a photo booth and more. Featuring two floors of spooky fun for all ages, the Halloween Spooktacular is a fun event for kids of all ages, with proceeds benefitting the Launch Pad Youth Program and the United Way. Bring the kids on by for a trip through the haunted house and a photo with a superhero!
Visit the Halloween Spooktacular on Friday, October 31st from 4 pm to 10 pm at the Quadra Village Community Centre – 901 Kings Road.
THE HERITAGE HAUNTED HOUSE: PREPARE TO BE SPOOKED
Do you have the stomach to face your fears in the Heritage Haunted House? This year marks the 10th anniversary of this fun yearly haunt, with proceeds benefitting Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Victoria. Children and adults of all ages love the Heritage Haunted House, and if you haven’t been before you’re in for a spooky treat.
Admission to the Heritage Haunted House is by donation of cash or a gently used clothing item. You can find this spooky mansion at 3808 Heritage Lane in Victoria and you’re welcome between the hours of 5:30 pm and 9:30 pm on Friday, October 31st.
HALLOWEEN SPOOKTACULAR FIREWORKS AT THE WESTIN BEAR MOUNTAIN
If you’re in the West Shore or are willing to make a quick drive up to Bear Mountain, this year marks the return of the Halloween Spooktacular Fireworks display. The Bear Mountain Community Association, the Westin Bear Mountain and the City of Langford have guaranteed a night of delicious treats, costume contests and for both children and parents and a great fireworks show to top it off.
Admission to the Halloween Spooktacular Fireworks is free of charge, and as it’s a popular event you’ll want to get there early to ensure you can enjoy the festivities and secure a good view. The event kicks off at 7 pm on Friday, October 31st with the fireworks show at 8:15 pm sharp.
